Hazel Tree!
Happy to hear about Hazel as the tree this moon on the Quantum Compass. Earlier today, before listening to the Quantum Compass, I got a haircut, and my stylist told me how they just rented a bulldozer and pulled out 2 hazel tree trunks in their yard. They cut down the trees a couple years ago. I've really not had Hazel in my awareness at all!
I learned that here where I live, in Willamette Valley in Oregon, produces 99% of the US hazelnut crop! I just found Dorris Ranch, Oregon's oldest hazelnut commercial farm, is only a 20 minute drive away!
Hazel says to me, "Please remember me! Connect with me!" And auspicious as we look forward to learning about the 13 trees, this is just the first one!

As a child I was so lucky to spend holidays on a farm on the Hebrides...
One year 'Grandfather' (though not mine) took me under his wing and taught me to make and carve a Hazelnut Cromach - the staff of the farmer of the wilds....
That same summer we made deer antler buttons.
