According to some beliefs, it is a date that marks the change of eras. On this day, the Treta Yuga and Satya Yuga began. The charity and good deeds performed on this day are considered to have eternal merit, which is why it is called “Akshya Tritiya.” This day is dear to Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi.
